I supply Hobbs Heirloom Premium Batting 80/20 96" (Priced at $0.52 per linear inch), Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20 108” Bleached White Blend or Black (Priced at $0.57 per linear inch), Hobbs Heirloom Premium 100% Wool - 108” (priced at $1.10 per linear inch) and Hobbs Poly-Down Premium Polyester Batting 120” and will only use what is needed for your quilt.
80/20 batting is lightly needle punched and treated with a soft resin to provide stability to the fibres and prevents the polyester from bearding. It offers more loft and less weight than traditional cotton batting and has 3-5% shrinkage.
Bleached /White Batting is highly recommended for white or very light coloured quilts. The bleached 100% cotton fibers, combined with the fine, white polyester fibers, provide a very white batting that will keep quilts made with white or light-colored fabrics nice and bright.
Black Batting is highly recommended for quilts made with black or dark-coloured fabrics.
Hobbs Poly-Down Batting is made with very fine, white, denier polyester which enables this batting to provide a soft feel and lovely drape. It is bonded to provide added durability and resist bearding and migration, and it’s machine-washable, non-allergenic and maintains its loft.
The Premium 100% Wool Batting is sought after due to its soft and luxurious feel and the way it brings out a quilter’s piecing and stitching The batting is a lightweight, breathes naturally and is comfortable for use in all climates, even hot and humid climates!
